Join Swampscott’s Solid Waste Advisory Committee and the DPW at our first annual free Pumpkin Tossing Event!  \n  \nTry to hit the targets as you toss your pumpkins into Black Earth’s special collection truck. And if you need to skip the toss (or your pumpkin is already falling apart)\, feel free to just drop off your pumpkin and we’ll take care of it. \n  \nPumpkins will be taken to Black Earth’s fields for open-air industrial composting.  \n  \nRemove any non-compostable decorations from your pumpkin\, like tea light candles\, metal spikes or ribbons. \n
